Location
A jewel in the centre of Venice
The Locanda Leon Bianco is situated at a crucial point on the Grand Canal from which you can gaze over the Rialto Bridge and the ancient Market, just a stone's throw from the Ca' D'Oro, a palace that represents the finest example of Venetian flamboyant Gothic style. Thanks to the water gate in our Palazzo and the quay in our Apart Suite, you will have the opportunity, arriving by taxi, to travel along what has been the city's main thoroughfare for centuries: the Grand Canal. And as Thomas Mann said "... and, looking on, it was said that to come to Venice by land, from the station, was like entering a palace by the back door, and that only thus by ship, from the open sea, should one approach the city of all the most improbable".
